Check. That's what I said to Tom just now on our terrace in Barcelona. You know how you imagine/dream/fantasize about some event in your future? Well, I can check off the box on this one. Sitting on the terrace on a gorgeous, sunny day (no jacket!) with a glass of wine, Jamon Iberico, and Cabrales blue cheese. Exactly as I pictured! And here's the picture (with the first great summer tomatoes we've had).
The apartment is exactly as pictured on the website (always nice when there are no surprises), and the rental agents were fantastic. This is the church within spitting distance of the apartment, Santa Maria del Mar.
So all we had on the agenda this afternoon was to go to our local market (not Boqueria, although we will be going there), Santa Caterina, where we bought the snacks pictured above as well as some tuna & veggies for dinner tomorrow.

As I recall, on the corner across the street from Santa Maria del Mar is (or was) La Vinya del Senyor, my favorite wine bar, with amazing ham and cheese. Your neighborhood sounds great and is, I hope, far enough from the drunken weekenders in the Gothic Quarter to allow you a decent night's sleep!
